ABRAHAM LAMBERSON FAMILY

The early Lambertson spelled their names without the T. About 1790 Levi Lamberson (1751-1794) started using the T. His sons John W. Lambertson and Thomas Lambertson (1790-1881), continued the practice.

Some of the Samuel Lamberson(1746-1806) family in Maryland use the T and some of this same family living in Indiana spelled the name without theT. It can be spelled either way and still be of the same family.

died in 1783.

A. SAMUEL LAMERSON born 1708.' lived in Worcester County, Maryland:

married ELIZABETH (BETTY) WATSON SMITH in 1745. Samuel died in 1766. Children:

a. SAMUEL LAMERSON born 1756: Worcester County, Maryland:

married ESTHER JOYNES: moved to Pocomoke City, Maryland. Samuel died in 1806.

b. SMITH LAMBERSON , born 1747: married: lived in Snow Hill.

'Worcester County, Maryland.

c. LEVI LAMBERTSON, born 1751 in Worcester County, Maryland. married REBECCA PARKER , born 1756: lived at Snow Hill. Maryland. where Levi died in '794. Rebecca died in Dearborn Co., Indiana, in 1825. Children:

1. JOHN W. LAMBERTSON, born October, 1789, at Snow Hill, Maryland,* married PRISCILLA JANE BREWINGTON, born 1790 at Moore's Hill. Indiana came to Greene County.Ohio, in 1815 and to Dearborn County. Indiana, in 1821.

John died August 16, 1865, at Moore's Hill, Indiana. Priscilla died on December 9. 1351. Children' 7 Son. 5 Daughters

The Thomas Lambertson family and the John Lambertson family lived near each other in Dearborn County. Indiana, from 1821 until about 1843, when Thomas Lambertson family emigrated west and settled at Bellevue. Iowa.
